Fostering a culture of rest in the workplace
The Story of Nap&Up
It all started in 2016 on university benches, when Gabrielle and Camille were looking for an original idea for a presentation… they began dreaming of a nap to recharge their energy.
From this grew a somewhat crazy idea: a nap truck that would roam the streets of Paris to rescue the weary from daily life.
A few months later, they tinkered with their first prototypes in family workshops. People thought they were dreamers. Yet, they believed in it. The Nap&Up micro-nap pod was born.
Nearly 10 years later, more than 800 companies, 600 healthcare facilities, and 400 schools and universities have chosen to bring rest into their professional daily lives.
And we are convinced: every pod installed is a step toward a workplace culture of rest that is more conscious, caring, and human.
Our reason for being
Nap&Up is reinventing workplace well-being with its micro-nap pod—a recovery space designed to provide employees with restorative breaks, right at their workplace and under optimal conditions.
We believe that work and rest are not opposites. Putting people at the heart of organizations means giving teams the opportunity to recover effectively, without guilt.
We advocate for breaking stereotypes: sleeping or slowing down is not a luxury, but a physiological need.
Our Belief
The workplace of tomorrow is one of balance and respect for employees.
An environment where napping, disconnecting, and recharging are seen as tools for thriving at work—not weaknesses to hide.
To address the new challenges of the modern workplace (fatigue, stress, reduced focus, mental overload), we designed a concrete solution: the micro-nap pod, an immersive recovery space that helps everyone regain balance, mental clarity, and energy.
What if workplace fatigue wasn’t inevitable?
Every day, millions of professionals and students carry a silent sleep debt. It affects their mood, focus, energy, and sometimes their mental health. Yet this topic remains taboo in companies, hospitals, and even on university campuses.
At Nap&Up, we believe it’s time to change the way rest is perceived and fully integrate it into HR, QWL, and CSR policies.
Why set up a rest space in your organization?
of French people say they sleep poorly
experience occasional daytime fatigue at work
employees admitting to dozing off or falling asleep at work
employees showing symptoms of burnout
Installing a nap pod or setting up a break room is more than just offering comfort: it shows consideration, boosts employee engagement, and helps prevent risks associated with workplace fatigue.
